Conversion of a derelict petrol station in King's Cross has created a new external public events space and diner-style restaurant overlooking the Regent's Canal. The intervention of a 200m-long, fibre-glass screen corresponds to the site's existing structures and offers a protective enclosure for the new functions from the busy arterial roads. The Filling Station provides a strong new identity for the site by day and by night.
