A new headquarters building for an international humanitarian and arts foundation working on projects in developing countries. In addition to the core foundation facilities, the building combines a series of private and semi private functions including a series of delegate suits and four private apartments.
It is robust character of form and brick construction relates to the particular context of Shoreditch and Brick Lane in East London. The building redefines the corner site through a series of stepping terraces relating to entertainment and private spaces. Its proportion, grain and scale the building is deliberately understated, in line with the foundations ethos.
